Comfortably Numb - Pink Floyd

With wet and at times extremely windy weather preventing anything close to meaningful 'field-work', we were pleased to have retained the images of a Brief Encounter some days ago. Comfortably sat inside Slight Return II with my usual mid-day sarnie and cup of 'extra-strong' Douwe Egberts, and feeling a little Numb, something was noticed out of the corner of my eye.
When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse,

I turned to look but it was gone,

'Shine On You Crazy Diamond'
is tribute to the late Syd Barrett former lead guitarist and song writer with Floyd.

 Well not quite like that in this case but a GREAT SONG nonetheless!
What looked to be a confiding juvenile, female
SPARROWHAWK
rater than flying off
simply walked across the Tennis Court
before becoming
ENTANGLED
 Genesis
(dedicated to Paul and Annie)
in the netting.
Bit of an evolution to free such a bird
which quickly became subdued
and happily lent itself to an
Extensive Photo Call.
This was something of an occasion
as we have never had a Sparrowhawk 'in the hand' before.
After this it was released back to the wild.
and right away from tradition, what Insects there were 
in the traps come as a finale today.
SMALL EMERALD
was the First of the Year
and as part of a small influx of c6 migrant
GEM
c3 of these were secured today.
Only as novelty value, this
KNOT GRASS
appeared to have been of a 'pale morph'?
Last but not leas and away from Moths was this
FIELD GRASSHOPPER
Rock 'n' Roll Trivia  
The name Pink Floyd is derived from 
2 of the bands revered US Black Blues Artists, 
the mighty Pink Anderson and cohort Floyd Council.
