This obliging STRIATED HERON greeted me at the main gate this morning
as were a good number of
SNAIL KITE
Adult Bird
Thought to be in final year of maturity?
An Immature
Thought to be a very good find,
but looking 'grumpy'?
Painted Tody-Flycatcher was certainly on my list of prospective additions
but remain convinced that this is a
SPOTTED TODY-FLYCATCHER
STRAIGHT-BILLED WOODCREEPER
was followed in very quick succession, and in the same tree, by
STRIPED WOODCREEPER
with both disappearing as this bright little fella arrived
a male THICK-BILLED EUPHONIA
accompanied by his much more dowdy lady!
WATTLED JACANA
WING-BARRED SEEDEATER
was another 'lifer'
but a little dull in comparison to this beautifully marked
YELLOW ORIOLE
Not one, but a pair of
YELLOW-CHINNED SPINETAIL
I
feel sure Mr Penney particularly will be interested in seeing these 2
YELLOW-CROWNED AMAZON, but am still at a lost as to whether they are now
known as PARROT and not AMAZON (I prefer the latter).
This
lone YELLOW-RUMPED CACIQUE brings the 'set' to a close for another day,
but rest assured your Outside Correspondent will be there again manana -
